We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Support Analyst to join our Ship Management client based near Glasgow.
 
As the Data Support Analyst, you will be responsible for EU MRV and IMO DCS data collection and the verification of data accuracy daily, correcting as necessary.

You will also oversee promoting the fleet or vessel energy efficiency within the office and seagoing workplaces, reviewing fleet / vessel energy consumption and providing solutions to reduce their energy usage. In addition, the Data Support Analyst will review vessel performance test data and support the fleet groups ensuring their vessels are running as efficiently as possible.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Fully completed Engineering cadetship and HND.
  • Previous seagoing experience within the shipping industry.
  • Technical Background.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office products specifically Word and Excel.
  • Experience analysing complex data – with a solution driven mindset.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Support & Assistance to the Energy Management & Data Lead as required.
  • Deputise for the Energy Management & Data Lead during periods of vacation or absence.
  • Monitoring daily submissions of vessel data to Eco Insights container and correcting, as necessary.
  • Client Reporting as directed by Energy Management & Data Lead.
  • Review the Quarterly Shipboard Energy meeting minutes (SFTEC 30) and revert with company response to the vessel within designated timeframe.
  • Promoting energy awareness throughout the fleet, ensuring all employees are thinking about keeping energy usage to a minimum.
  • Energy Committee Member.
  • Working with Fleet Groups to produce, review and update Performance Dashboards.
  • Member of the EEXI / CII Project Group.
  • Conducting Energy Management Familiarisation for new employees and Senior Officers during Induction Process.
  • Enrolling vessels into ESI (Environmental Ship Index) to enable reduced port costs.
  • Preparation and submission of SFENV 9 EU – CO2 Emissions Monitoring Plan and the Emissions.
  • Reports for all vessels making qualifying voyages.
  • Preparation of the SEEMP Part II and submitting it for Confirmation of Compliance and to review the data reported by the ships and submission of aggregated annual report for IMO DCS through Lloyds CO2 verifier.
  • Assist with projects within the Operations team as required.
