Our maritime client based in Aberdeen are recruiting for a HR Coordinator to join them for a 6-month fixed term contract.

The HR Coordinator will support the HR Manager ensuring the delivery of an effective Human Resource service, including but not limited to recruitment and training and will support HR projects.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • Previous experience of working within a similar role (desirable)
  • CIPD qualified/similar or working towards HR qualification (desired although not essential)
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills (essential)
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office package and HRIS (essential)
  • Experience of using PeopleHR (desirable)
  • Exceptional work ethic, discrete and confidential in all aspects of the role (essential)

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Update and maintain our HR database
  • Ensure employee files and documentation is accurately stored, updated and maintained in line with GDPR.
  • Prepare employee contracts of employment and any contract variation paperwork.
  • Ensure paperwork is sent to payroll in a timely manner
  • Review and update policies and procedures as appropriate
  • Advertise vacancies on agreed sites and with appropriate agencies
  • Management of Agency relationships, working in collaboration to source candidates
  • Tracking of vacancies and interview set up to ensure effective days to closure
  • Vacancies filled within 30 days
  • Facilitation of onboarding process, including booking of pre-employment checks, verifying employee right to work, equipment set up, co-ordination of induction, probation review process
  • Maintain and update the training and competency system.
  • Designated “Competency Administrator” ensuring the correct storage of candidate portfolios and information relating to assessments and verifications e.g. progress reports and certificates. Arrange Assessor and internal training.
  • Facilitate booking of training and the surrounding processes including the co-ordination or joining instructions and training evaluation documentation.
