We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Communications Manager to join our client in Gourock on a 12 month fixed term contract. 
 
As Internal Communications Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a new internal communications strategy and action plans.  Focusing on getting the right content to the right audience at the right time, through the planning of content creation, delivery and governance.
 
While producing content yourself, you will also be responsible for considering how content might be re-distributed and/or re-purposed for other channels and what those channels might be.
 
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
 
Essential Criteria
  • At least 3 years' experience working in internal communications.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Possess strong writing, content creation and influencing skills and be able to prioritise a demanding workload to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and experience in working to agreed brand guidelines including tone of voice.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent storyteller with the ability to write beautiful, impactful copy.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a collaborative and in an open fashion.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Digitally savvy, interested in and comfortable with social media.
  • Lead by example and inspire teams to push boundaries, whilst always staying true to brand.
  • A natural at managing and juggling priorities.
  • A good capacity to listen, critique and evaluate.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience of working for an organisation that has internal communication challenges of a varied and dispersed workforce.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Implement and adapt the agreed Internal Communications element of the Corporate Communications Strategy
  • Lead implementation and delivery of new internal communications channels as well as improving existing channels
  • Keep colleagues informed and engaged with important company updates
  • Work cross functionally with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and relevant usage of internal communications platforms
  • Create relevant and inspiring content plans, calendars, and communications strategies, alongside crafting engaging content as a writer and editor
  • Support internal projects, advising on communications strategies and content
  • Provide support, advice, and training to internal teams on how and when to engage and become better communicators
  • Build strong internal relationships through consistent planned visits around the network
  • Support organisational efforts aimed at developing and enhancing employee engagement and relationships
  • Advise on brand style and tone, ensuring all internal communications content is consistent
  • Support other members of the Communications Team when necessary including external communications
  • Other duties as may be directed by management
 
REMUNERATION PACKAGE ON OFFER 
 
£34,000 - £40,000 per annum and benefits (including 37 days annual leave (pro-rata), Staff travel pass and an industry leading pension)
