Our marine client requires a Procurement Assistant to join their fleet and crewing department in Lancashire.  As a Procurement Assistant you will be responsible providing procurement and administrative support to the Technical Superintendents and the Crewing Department.
 
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
  • Experience with procurement processes dealing with suppliers and managing company procurement systems.
  • Experience working within marine/maritime sector (desirable)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Can work independently and within a team environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Assisting with procurement processes including purchasing, suppliers, invoicing and payroll/expense processes.
  • Assisting Crewing Department with all aspects of vessel crew provision, manning, certification, training and development.
  • Coordinating with crewing agencies and service providers for crew travel and transfers.
  • Maintaining and managing company procurement and crewing systems.
  • General administrative tasks and duties as deemed necessary.
